I am physically located in Memphis, TN, but see patients in TN, NY, & CO. However, all of my appointments take place via a secure online platform.

It works the same way as in-person psychiatry! I am a real provider, and my patients matter to me. I will get to know and understand your needs just as I would if you were physically in the room with me. I know that virtual healthcare of any kind often gets a bad name, but I strive to build a therapeutic alliance with you, even though it is a video call. Even my most skeptical patients generally end up liking it (sometimes they like it even more than in-person care), because they do not have to travel anywhere to see me. This takes the stress out of having to take off work or miss school to keep an appointment.

I do not at this time.

This is an important question, because referrals are often needed. I am part of several confidential online communities in every state where I practice. When a referral is required and I do not have the information myself, I can source high-quality referrals from these communities to get the help you need.

I take most commercial insurances (like BCBS, United Healthcare, Cigna, Aetna, and others). However, if you do not have insurance or I do not take your insurance, I do have self-pay rates and am happy to provide you with a superbill so that you can file for out-of-network benefits if your insurance provides them. My fee for a new evaluation is $250, and follow-ups are $120.

I set aside an hour for new evaluations, so that you have plenty of time to tell me your story and describe your symptoms. If you are unsure of where to start, no worries! I will ask you plenty of questions to help you provide the information I need to treat you effectively.

How long you take psychiatric medication is different for everyone. Most psychiatric issues are lifelong, and psychiatric medications are not curative—they simply control symptoms. Sometimes people who have not had lifelong psychiatric issues but experienced a traumatic event, like grieving a loss, can take medication for a short while and eventually no longer need it. You do not become dependent on psychiatric medications in an addictive sense, but when someone with a lifelong psychiatric issue stops meds, they go back to experiencing symptoms like they did before they took medication.

You can book an appointment HERE or text me at 901-883-6611. Please note that if you book online, you need to tell me a bit about your symptoms when you book, or I will contact you to get this information before I confirm the appointment. This is to ensure that I am the best fit for you as a provider.

Missed appointments or same-day cancellations are subject to a $75 cancellation fee.

Yes! Not only is confidentiality an important ethical consideration for every mental health provider, but it is also illegal for any health care provider to share your personal health information without your permission. The only time I can break this confidentiality is if there is a life-threatening emergency.

If a child or teen is able to talk to me and give me their story and their symptoms by themselves, I will protect their confidentiality, even from parents. If a child or teen discloses something to me that I feel that a parent needs to know, I will let the child or teen patient know that I am going to have to share what they told me with their parent/guardian, why I feel that way and will let them decide if they want to be present when I talk to them.

Yes! I have both google reviews (which you can see here) and reviews listed on my provider profile where you can also make an appointment!
